Free LPN Training Programs in Georgia

CNA Classes in GeorgiaYou can work in a variety of types of healthcare facilities in Georgia if you are an LPN. In order to become an LPN, you will need to attend an LPN program. You can earn your degree as an LPN in as little as one year depending on the program you enter. You can even search for free LPN options to help you cover the cost of your tuition so that the cost of training does not hold you back from earning your degree.

If you are already an LPN there might still be things you can do to help cover the cost of tuition that you already paid to become an LPN. When you interview for a job as an LPN, ask if they offer any type of tuition reimbursement program. Some employers have a very high demand for licensed practical nurses. They are therefore, sometimes willing to reimburse you for some of the money you paid towards your degree. It certainly does not hurt o ask.

Contact the Financial Aid Officer

Contact the financial aid officer at the school where you are hoping to obtain your LPN degree. They can help you to complete the forms necessary to apply for grants. These grants can be used to pay towards your tuition and other related expenses. In some cases you can receive enough grants to pay for all or most of your training. A financial aid officer can also help you to identify any scholarships for which you should apply. You might win one or more scholarships that can be used to help cover the cost of your education.

Japanese American Citizens League Scholarship Program

Members of this JACL can obtain an application from their local division if they are in or going to nursing school. This is a program for nursing students and others in health related degrees who need some help with their tuition costs. The applicants can already be attending a nursing or related program or can have received acceptance to a program. Students will need to attach a letter or recommendation from a qualified individual. They will also need to submit a personal statement along with their application so that the scholarship reviewers can learn more about the student’s goals.

Marguerite McAlpin Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for students working to obtain a fully accredited nursing degree. The students will need to be either the son or daughter or grandchild of a someone who was a military veteran in order to submit their application. A lot will be taken into consideration for this scholarship via American Legion Auxiliary. They will consider letters or recommendation and a student’s academic records. They will also look at the need for financial help a student has. In this sense, the scholarship is quite competitive and the student should put their all into completing their application.

Present Employer

You should talk to your employer if you are current working as a CNA or in a non-medical position for a healthcare provider. Your company might offer tuition assistance for individuals who want to further their career. It is possible that you would be able to receive help to pay for your LPN degree. Perhaps you can receive enough help to cover the remaining cost that is not covered by grants and scholarships. An employer will probably require that you then work with them as an LPN for awhile since they have paid towards your education.
