Free CNA Classes in Spencer, Iowa
Spencer High School in partnership with Iowa Lakes Community College is offering free CNA classes to their students who want to become Certified Nursing Assistants and receive college credit at the same time. If you know someone who attends at Spencer High School for their junior or senior years, encourage them to take this opportunity. Becoming a CNA can be a great way to start a career and a college credential in the medical field.
The CNA training program of Spencer High School is free of charge, but students need to pay $150 for the state-mandated testing fee. This healthcare course runs for 75 hours, divided into 30 hours of classroom instruction, 15 hours of lab training, and 30 hours of clinical practicum in a nursing home. After completing the program, graduates become eligible for the state certification exam for nursing assistants and will be listed in the CNA Registry upon getting the license.
The free CNA class is exclusively offered to qualified Spencer High School students. If you happen to know someone attending this school, inform them about this program. Undergoing the CNA class will not only help them secure a stable and fulfilling career, but it will also help the community in general, as more and more residents will be working in the healthcare field.
