Free CNA Classes in Selah, Washington
Do you have a passion for caring for people with developmental disabilities? Apply for a free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program at Yakima Valley School (YVS). This program is sponsored by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, and selected participants will have an opportunity to work at YVS.
The free CNA training program can be completed in six weeks and classes will begin on December 18, 2017. Interested applicants must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent and clean criminal record. An experience with a developmentally disabled person is an advantage, but not necessary to be considered for the program.
Class size is limited to ten students only, and chosen individuals undergo 198 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on clinical practice. Absences are not allowed during the training, and participants have to pass the state certification exam to be able to apply in Yakima Valley School (YVS).
