Do you want to be employed in the state of Nebraska as a Certified Nursing Assistant? The Health & Human Services Department of the Nebraska State Government is looking for interested individuals who like to work in the healthcare field and undergo a free two-week Basic Nurse Aide class on July 17 to July 28, 2017.
The Basic Nurse Aide course covers 76 hours of combined classroom instruction and clinical training. Students in the program will learn to provide nursing care to the residents of Western Nebraska Veterans Home with the supervision of a Licensed Nurse. They will also develop the necessary skills to advance their position to a Staff Care Technician II level. Furthermore, graduates of the program will be qualified to take the state certification exam. Individuals who pass the exam successfully will become a Certified Nursing Assistant and will have their name placed on the state Nurse Aide Registry.
To apply for the two-week Basic Nurse Aide class offered by the Nebraska State Government, applicants have to be at least 17 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and a clean criminal record. These individuals must also pass the drug screening, TB testing, and physical examination. Nonetheless, applicants can apply online through the Health & Human Services Department of the Nebraska State Government.
