NHC Oak Ridge is currently accepting applications for its Free State of Tennessee Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Training Program. This 17-day, state-certified course equips participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a State-Certified Nursing Assistant—completely free of tuition costs.
Whether an individual is beginning their healthcare career or seeking a fresh start in a meaningful profession, this program offers an excellent opportunity to train, certify, and potentially begin employment in the healthcare field.

Admission Requirements
To be considered for enrollment, applicants must bring the following items to their scheduled interview:
- Valid Photo Identification
- Social Security Card
A criminal background check and review of the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults will be conducted. Applicants with felony convictions, specific misdemeanor charges, or placement on the abuse registry are not eligible for admission.
Program Expectations
- Maintain a minimum grade average of 85%
- No absences or tardiness permitted due to the accelerated course structure
Students are selected based on the following criteria:
- Facility staffing needs
- Shift availability and flexibility
- Entrance exam performance
- Work history and professional attitude
NHC Oak Ridge offers a supportive, hands-on learning environment and a direct pathway to a fulfilling career in long-term care. Upon completion of the CNA program, graduates may qualify for employment at the 108-bed skilled nursing facility, where care, respect, and excellence guide every aspect of service.
