Highland Health & Rehabilitation in Bellingham, WA, is offering a tuition-free, campus-based training program designed to prepare you for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Gain the knowledge, skills, and certification you need—all supported by expert instructors and real-world training.
Program Overview
- Start Date: Tentatively October 13, 2025
- Duration: 6-week comprehensive training
- Schedule: Weeks 1–4: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM–3:30 PM
Weeks 5–6: Monday to Wednesday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM - Location: Alderwood Park Health & Rehabilitation

What the Training Covers
You’ll learn how to:
- Assist residents with daily living activities—including grooming, mobility, and mealtime support.
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support tailored to each individual.
- Execute care plans and monitor patient conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness and create a soothing environment.
- Participate in inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
Upon completion, facility staff will guide you through state testing and CNA licensure applications.
Eligibility Requirements
- Age 18 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful criminal background check
- Full commitment to attend all sessions
- Adherence to resident confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory

Compensation While You Work
You will not be paid during training. Compensation of $19/hour begins once you are actively scheduled as a Hospitality Aide (typically 2–3 shifts/week between 8 AM–3:30 PM).
